DS17 accepted after EA deferral…so glad it’s over
I was also accepted after deferred EA… that’s insane. Looks like UChi wanted that commitment

Those who were waitlisted you can now open the form included on the application status.
Does anyone who was accepted have any information on when financial aid letters will be made available? I called FA today and really got no clear information from them other then give them a week and a half or so. That seems kind of long!
For those who were waitlisted… are there other’s who were waitlisted from Early Decision 1?
@JBStillFlying My son received with the acceptance. He did have likely letter which is probably why his was processed in time. His advisor did tell him he would receive by March 1 originally.
@fbsdreams they told me it was on the portal with her acceptance and then put me on hold forever then came back and said wait a week and a half. Is your son an athlete? Their path and timing might be different.
Edit to add: it definitely wasn’t on the portal last night. We’ll check again tonight.
@JBStillFlying I noticed our link to the Admitted Student webpage was not working last night. Checked again late this morning and it worked and allowed us to sign up for the Admitted Student Open House.

@fbsdreams Thanks - I’ll be on the lookout for those links. She had nothing linking to a financial aid letter. It’s a bit confusing on her portal - hopefully they’ll remove some of the extraneous stuff now that decisions have come out.

Do you konw if there ia C on final report , admission will be cancelled?
is there a minimum gpa?
Do the ED II admits get a packet in the mail? If so, anyone know when that should be expected?
@vicangie you are required to submit your final transcript to UChicago or any college, for that matter. They need to make sure you’ve actually graduated. Not sure if they rescind due to a C - most likely not. But you’ll want to finish strong for your own sake and to ensure you are properly prepared to succeed in college.

There was a theory that UChicago would use ED and ED II to protect yield and reduce/re-purpose merit scholarship give-out.
Just curious have any ED or ED II admits got merit scholarships (the non need-based University Scholarships) ?
@eddi137 I got the National Hispanic Rec Program scholarship for 4000/year, if that counts.
