Uchicago financial aid tax return question

Hi guys! Quick question, what forms and schedules of our federal income tax return do we turn in for Uchicago financial aid? Please give me the exact number for the papers
Thank You!

Call the school.

They want the whole return, all schedules, including W-2’s.

I believe when my D applied last year she had to submit all of the federal forms and schedules that she or her parents submitted to the IRS as individuals. So it doesn’t make sense to give you a list, as the specific forms and schedules can vary quite a bit depending on your parents’ specific tax situation. We also had to submit all W-2s. For EA we ended up submitting 2 year’s worth (they want the previous year from right now, so that would be 2012, and then they will want 2013 as well once they are available). And the CSS Profile, FAFSA (once available), and non-custodial profile if your parents are divorced.

They also eventually wanted business tax returns (I have an S-corp). If your parents don’t file, they request the non-filer statement.

Every college is looking for different things on a different timeframe, and sometimes sent via different ways. If I were you I would start a spreadsheet and start carefully reading the financial aid websites and tracking what/when/how for every college. It is a pretty big headache when you are applying to a lot of colleges.
