I have my University of Chicago interview on Tuesday, January 2nd. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the interview is like? Is it low key or is it very evaluative? Should I bring a copy of my transcript and report card? The help is much appreciated! Also, if I have already submitted my application, will they pull things from my file to discuss or question during the interview?

for me, the interview was really low key. My interviewer was really nice; he took some notes. I don't think transcript or report card is necessary. They want to know you as a person. And, as far as I know, they were only provided with very basic information: like your name and the possible majors you listed on you application.

Its really, really chill. My guy brought me to a coffee shop, and we talked about "nothing" for a long time. A little bit about my interests, a little bit about his, a little bit about the school, a little bit about Brooklyn...I would actually say it was sort of fun.

My interview was amazing. I had an on-campus interview with an official in the admissions office. It was in fact very low-key. The interviewer started out by asking basics, like grades and all that. I don't think it's necessary to bring a transcript or report card, but they might ask for that basic information from you. Then I got a boatload of creative, crazy, UChicago questions! Be prepared to think outside of the box. Have fun. My interviewer also gave me tips on my application, which was the best part.
