<p>UofChicago is #7. plus fermilab is nearby. and UofChicago houses the kavli institute for cosmological physics.</p>
<p>Rice is #26. houston is considered the armpit of texas. but you do have johnson space center nearby. it is very humid and the bugs are terrible.</p>
<p>and is right next to one of the largest medical centers in the world. You should visit both, talk to as many current majors, graduates, and faculty members as possible. Check out the Rice and UChicago discussions on this forum.</p>

<p>That is totally untrue, Houston is actually a fun, very underrated city that just doesn’t market itself ever for some reason.</p>
