I submitted my UChicago Common App yesterday (With all the essays uploaded). Today, when I opened the portal, none of the essays/teacher rec/common app was uploaded and there was room to upload my essays separately on their portal. Should I just wait for the Common App to show up? Or resubmit my essays on their portal just in case?
You can upload the essays again, but if you just wait a little bit your Common App should show up. You can check this on the main Common App page, where it shows all your colleges and the deadlines. Click the drop down arrow for UChicago and it should list your application materials as “Submitted;” when they say “Downloaded,” UChicago has your stuff, although it may take them another couple of hours to match your app with your portal.
This is a bit different, but I made a UChicago account in July (I think essay prompts came out or something? Not sure what prompted me to make an account) and I submitted my Common App (with the essays) yesterday and my UChicago & Common App both use the same email so my Common App submission will probably appear on my portal soon right? Or should I contact someone? My transcript/recs/scores have all been sent as well but none of that is on my portal currently…
@malvernvarna Thanks for responding. My common app said it was downloaded, but I just checked and UChicago has not yet uploaded to the portal. I am sure that they will eventually, so I guess I will just sit tight for now!
@ambiguouspronoun I think all we can do is wait; they’re probably just overloaded with so many applicants they were only able to download them and not upload to the portal. At least, that’s what I’m hoping.
I’m also curious… my commonapp and SAT score reports have still yet to show up on the portal. Am I looking in the wrong place? Because I don’t really see anything regarding my submitted materials on the portal. Thanks
Yeah, mine still aren’t there either. I’m not sure what to do. Should we contact and ask them?
I’m having the same issue. Submitted my common app on the 3rd but it still hasn’t shown up on the UChicago portal. Also, I uploaded a document to the UChicago portal a few days ago. Is there any way for me to review what I uploaded? It only shows the date and time that the document was uploaded- there’s no info as to what exactly it was. I’d like to make sure that I uploaded the right document.
