Of course everything happens for a reason, but the grass is wet after the rain.
Not necessarily a good reason, though.
I will probably not end up where I want to be, I will be rejected from where I want to be and I’ll choose a less ideal option.

I’ve literally been thinking about this all day. My timezone is 15 hours ahead of Chicago so I won’t know anything until I wake up tomorrow… I won’t be able to sleep well tonight
