Ok, so I'm sure this has been asked before but... I can't find an answer.

Does Chicago look at only your highest scores from each section of the SAT?

My score report is a mess. Three sittings, one 700+ for each section, and an inconvenient pile of 500s and 600s to fill the extra space. So my score report looks far less stable than I'd like.

Does your admissions officer find your highest score and then take only that score to a voting panel?

I sure hope so!

for some reason i want to say they take your highest score... i've talked with Andre Phillips a couple of times when he's been in my area and went the the columbus day open house... and i think i would remember they said otherwise. however, i'm not positive.

geez, how many times did you take it?!

hah three times... and i'm done now.

can anyone confirm what kathryn07 said?

They take your highest score. If you take it more than 3, then they think you have no life and hold it against you. If your scores fluctuate instead of being consistent, it may hurt you a little. UChicago doesnt put SATs on that high of a pedistal, so don't worry.
