Transfer ADMIT Rate:

I give the credit for this post to Phuriku, who pointed out that the College Board website now gives the following info regarding UChicago transfer admissions:

Transfer Students

Transfer admission stats for fall term:
Applied: 986
Admitted: 48
Enrolled: 45

A 4.9% admit rate with a yield 93.8% yield.

College Search - University of Chicago - Chicago - Admission

That’s a bad typo in the headline but I can’t correct it. LOL!

That was last year’s info by the way. No doubt this year’s transfer admit rate will be lower considering the way first-year applications went up.

According to the Maroon, the University only accepted 20 transfer students this year (due to the large incoming first-year class). At most that means a 2% admit rate for transfers this year. (That was assuming the number of transfer applicants didn’t increase, but it probably did, so the admit rate might actually be lower.)
