UChicago vs. NU (Medil) vs. NYU (Stern)

Hello everyone,

I have currently narrowed down my choices to these three schools.
Though I find myself leaning towards UChicago a bit more, I wanted to hear your opinions before making my final decision.

In the future, I want to do something related to marketing/consuting. I am planning to get a job right after college, and get an MBA after; thus, I want to know how the job-recruitment at each colleges are.
I am planning to major in Econ. or Sociology (possibly a double major) at UChicago. Although I have heard that Chicago's Econ. program is a lot more theory-based than other programs, I think that building a firm base on Economics will help me with my future career. I also like the Core, as I want to continue with my interest in Humanity/Social Science and explore new areas. However, I am afraid that Chicago might be a bit too stressful. I am hard working, but some people have told me that it is extremely hard to maintain a good GPA.
Unfortunately, I can't visit any of the campuses because I don't live in the states. :(

I would really appreciate your thoughts! Thank you. :)

UChicago or NorthWestern hands down, both are much more prestigious than NYU, and will open a lot of doors for you. NYU Stern is prestigious, but I don’t think it compares to UChicago or NorthWestern.

^The OP didn’t list Columbia lol, and the most identical school to Columbia in terms of almost everything is UChicago.

If your gut is telling you to go to UChicago, then you should do it. You won’t be disappointed. Good luck!

Ignore as248t57y, he’s either a ■■■■■ or a bitter waitlist considering almost every single one of his 30 posts are posts urging people to not go to uchicago, with absolutely no explanation (and the rest of those 30 posts are urgings for people’s not to go to certain schools with no explanation).

Thank you everyone for your thoughts!
