regardless, has anyone heard a rejection yet?

@meghamind my friend who lives in Texas received her rejection a few minutes ago.

My application status hasn’t changed - says I’m still on the waitlist.

Same here. no change as of yet. :/

THIS IS SO STRESSFUL! I have no change either. They stopped updating my files too, though, so I just don’t know what all of that means.

Eh, just stay calm bro. Be glad it hasn’t changed for the worse :D

But I do think that if they haven’t contacted us yet, chances are slim

I would rather just hear the big N.O. is all. I need to plan the colors for my graduation party lol

@asheik was the rejection a phone call or email or what?

Lol I uploaded a meme onto my account /:

^^^^^^^^ ummmmmm let me guess, was your memo all about youyou?

@meghamind it was an email and I just asked the admission committee, they said they are not considering any more applicants from the waitlist any longer. Sorry to all waitlist applicants, I hate being the bearer of bad news :(

it was a picture of a cat with a pizza on its face staring at a camera with
“[WAITING INTENSIFIES]” written on the bottom

@asheik even for those who checked off the “voluntary gap year” option???

I haven’t received anything from UChicago. Does anyone know when is the latest day to hear from them?

@collegestuffs my friend said the committee closed the waitlist for all applicants, that also includes the gap year candidates.

Ok I dont know if it is true but I dont think that is right… if the waitlist was closed they would just send out an email wouldnt they? I am pretty sure they havent even reviewed mine yet

When they say it’s closed it means that no one else that was offered a spot can get on the waitlist

^ ^ ^ huh? If you’re offered a spot why would you need a wait list spot?

Hi guys, I just got a reject email saying they can’t offer me place in 2018 Class. I am an international student from Europe, and I chose a voluntary gap year option, but they didn’t specifically mention anything for next year

same :’(
