<p>Hey, guys! Sorry I haven’t been on CC in a while. I meant to let y’all know that admissions did, in fact, keep a wait list during the summer. I emailed the admissions rep for my state, and she said I was still on the list! Anyone get accepted of the wait list after the initial rejection emails were sent out?? I’m dying to know lol</p>
I just got waitlisted by UChicago. My question was, does being put on the waitlist automatically nullify any chances I had of getting financial aid? Or if (god!) I do get in, a financial aid offer will then be made?
@ChessMom59 Well in that case it sounds like my chances of getting off the waitlist are about the same (slightly better) as getting in RD based on UChicago’s 8% acceptance rate. Right?

The chance for waitlisted students to be accepted is around 3%. Nail biting couple of weeks ahead. Good luck, and stay calm.
