^That’s fine, that’s how I am with UCSB, but applying just for the hell of it is what I’m talking about.

@ isus39

Anyone know if the order in any way reflects the time of submitting application? If you applied earlier, do you get to the top of the pile, or do they seem to be just pulling at random? I’m reaching here, but since I applied rather late, I’m hoping they just haven’t gotten to my end of the stack yet.

it’s allllllllllllll random. doesn’t matter when you applied, doesn’t matter what your major or gpa is, doesn’t matter when you submitted your application update. it’s random…RANDOM RANDOM RANDOM.

So only like 3 people from here got accepted in this batch?

Has anyone been rejected at all?

I applied November 29, IIRC. Could have been the following day.

@tilly: My friend was rejected a few weeks ago :(

Rejections should all come out at the end. Was your f

Was your friend a freshman?

@UCSDforme i see…
Do u guys think that there are more than one batch of rejections?

I submitted rather early… and I haven’t heard anything but then again my stats suck…

I submitted on the last day. I really don’t think what day you submitted matters. Oh and I got accepted today.

dont fret there was a similar thread like this last year and as long as you have a TAG you should absolutely get in! Oh yes about the thread, well it had a few folks (that had TAGS) that got their acceptance on the very last day so dont worry you will get yours… As for me i also have a TAG and still waiting. GPA 3.2 major: Chemical Engineering.

My fancy looking Regents certificate and letter from the chancellor came in the mail today. Pretty darn cool.

Has anyone gotten their admission packet in the mail yet?

I don’t know if any of you will really be able to answer this, but what’s the point of spreading out the acceptance letters like this? If it’s really “random” and they already know who’s getting accepted and rejected, why not just do it all at once and spare us the stressing?

o.o i just got my aid package. i wonder how this works out.
