UCI Acceptance

Rejected
Major: criminology, law and society
2.91
all pre-req’s done

Accepted at Davis, so its off to NorCal! Congrats to the accepted.

Thanks knightmight! 3 days left for the real deal for us :slight_smile:

@ lafan18: I think you’ll definitely appreciate the change of scenery you’ll experience in Northern California. I’ve been to Irvine many times before and it was nothing special – it’s unremarkable, and doesn’t give you the sense of a real world city. Also there isn’t much diversity from what I saw.

I can’t wait for Friday. I just created what is turning out to be the most rediculous thread i seen. I wanted to see what people would do while waiting for friday. haha find it on page 1

Rejected.

And being rejected from UCI gives me substantial doubts about making it anywhere else.

GTarrant, don’t lose hope. What are your other options, and have you considered appealing to UCI?

Accepted!
Major: Business Information Management
3.15
TAG: Yes
IGETC: Partial
Pre-Reqs: Completed

Hey GTarrent, dont be discouraged. Irvine is competitive! Appeal!

Yeah, I’ll try appealing. To be frank, I was one of the last-minute applicants who rushed like a madman to submit it on time. As a result, I’ve got quite a bit of “new information” I can include in an appeal. Heh.

Still sucks though. I applied to UCB, UCLA, UCI, UCSD and UCSB. I’ve been rejected from UCLA and UCI so far, and the others are pending. Naturally, I won’t make it to Berkeley, so… it’s down to UCSD and UCSB.

Ugh.

Well at least you didn’t apply to UCR. It’s almost worse having them be the only school that accepted me thus far.

*** rejected at uci but accepted at ucsd smh

Sometime between three hours ago and now my decision was posted. I was not accepted for bus admin or bus econ. My overall GPA is 3.5, and around a 3.8 with 45 units over the last two years. I’m a military veteran with all this damn money from Uncle Sam to pay for my education, and so far I’ve been rejected from SDSU, UCLA, and UCI. I’m still waiting on UCB and UCSD, but not holding my breath.

@mj2323

aren’t you Uc to uc??
Dang that sucks… do you know why you are rejected?

@slee0103

yea im about to finish up soph year at ucr…but im not sure why i got rejected, im guessing maybe my gpa was a lil low for the biological sciences major (3.45) idk

@ mj 2323

hmm… your GPA looks fine… my friend last year got in with that GPA…
mayb u didnt do this?

Biological Sciences: Junior-level applicants with the highest grades overall and who satisfactorily complete course prerequisites will be given preference for admission to the Biological Sciences major. All applicants must complete one year of general chemistry with laboratory with grades of B or better; one year of biology courses equivalent to Biological Sciences 93, 94, and 100L at UCI with a grade of C or better in each course; and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

@slee0103

hmm maybe thats why then, I got a C+ one quarter of general chem…oh well i wouldnt have gone there anyway but its the principle lol

are you UC to UC?

@mj2323

yea lol I didn’t apply this year though…
hoping to get in UCI lol as biz econ major. I go to UCR too but freshman right now

Rejected…

-3.40 GPA
-Business Econ (I applied as Biz Admin, but later contacted the school to change my major to Business Econ)
-IGETC complete
-Finished all my prereqs except for Calc 1B (in progress now), and 1C? Maybe this is what got me rejected. I did receive a C+, C, and B- in some of my prereqs though too (don’t ask…), which I feel REALLY killed me.

This sucks

^wow. you had a really decent shot too

Damn, from the looks of it sounds like my 3.49 for computer science puts me out of the running then, UC-UC too, still pending, however

I got rejected w 4.0 bcs I didnt finish the calc2 :(
