Just wondering where everyone went. Anyone make a facebook page/group or something? On CC, it seems as though no one admitted seems particularly excited about going to UCI... :(

I'm still debating between UCI Regents vs. UCLA, but I'd like to meet some more people first, visit the campus, etc. So far, UCLA's winning on the outgoing people part, which has its pros and cons.

My major's psychology. Feel free to PM me if you want my facebook or something to chat! I'd like to know what the UCI transfer students are like!

Well, I’m excited! UCI was actually my first choice, so I SIRed as soon as I got accepted. My friend/classmate just SIRed too. We’re both drama majors.

I sent housing apps to Vista del Campo, Norte, Camino del sol and Puerta del sol for a $150 a pop. Money aside, the apartments are pretty amazing for young adults our age, particularly Camino. The rent’s a little steep which is why i’m still considering Arroyo Vitsa. Heads up, I sent in my apps about a week ago and was still placed on a 20 person waitlist for each property.

About $600, I think, if you’re sharing a room. If I end up going, I’ll be staying at Arroyo Vista. I love having a kitchen, but I also like being able to interact with more than a few people in my living area.

mmcupcakes - VdC isn’t filled yet, but get your app in as soon as possible. The more affordable option are filling up quickly. Also you are allowed to apply for grad housing in the community which is the exact same as undergrad but comes with an in unit washer/dryer and free parking for about $100 more per month.

Thanks for the info!! I’m just in a stump because I haven’t even gotten a decision yet I really want vdc if I get in! Also for grad housing apps, if I apply for those will I be placed with undergrads or grad students?

Im going to UCI PSB major (if they allow the change from psych) pretty excited about many things at UCI…Quite a bit older so me and my gf will be living somewhere off campus…

Honestly I got denied by ucla and I think it may be a REALLY good thing. I have already had good convo with current students, will have less competition, and better access to research assistant opportunities…I am going to grad school, at the end of the day where I get my BA from is immaterial. Would have been nice to go to the more prestigious ucla but oh well…

Actually i’m psych and beh o.o…even though I did most of the cogsci reqs. Honestly most of my friends go there…my bf goes there. It’s a beaaaautiful campus also. Academically I think its still a pretty good choice. I mean UCLA has a great name to it, but UCI is still really great… I think so anyways.

hells to the yea. i plan on doing crm/law this summer since i couldnt take it here. plan on taking 2 psych classes/research design/intro to queer studies…plan on finishing the queer studies minor. im kinda a nerd when it comes to planning out future schedules. wooo.
