Hi All,
Admitted as a transfer student next fall, PSB major, older student, 1st post on this site. Just requested to join FB page. Any older students out there?
Glad this forum is here, I have learned a lot!

^^^ Well, how old is older? I am 27… Admitted to Psychology

25…Im PSB.
You join the FB group?

I haven’t… I don’t have a Facebook acct.
Have you PSBs received an email asking if you would like to switch To just Psych?
I have made up my mind about what I want but I am curious as to how people made a decision about which major to pick (whether PSB or just Psych)

No…I was admitted under psych but switched to psb. Psb is more geared towards people with an interest in clinical psych, whereas psych is geared more towards pure research…

I’ve had 3 of years of Psychology classes in a Brazilian university that were very “social” if one can even say that. I liked the classes offered by the PSB, however, I feel like it could be just like sociology applied to the individual, instead of the collective. I still want to talk to a counselor about it, but from what i understand it is just more cognitive, you learn how to interview/test people, attention/language, etc…

Exactly. Like I said, It is more geared towards clinical psychology…(psb)

Yeah… PSB seems to be really popular though. A lot more than Psych at least. I wonder if it os because all te other UCs offer only the regular Psych
