UCI and its reckless admission

I may say so, just because the UCI admission process is not as smooth as it should be...
2 weeks ago UCI Admission office sent me a message to my Message Center in Admission site, asking for additional information, and i replied them
Later, i got rejected from UCI, which was really shocking for me....
and today i got a letter from Admission office, saying that they didnt receive my additional information, i went to the admission site and check Message Center.... there comes the odd, my reply message is marked UNOPENED ....
any one else got the same problem?

Did they ask you to send it a particular way?

they said that i could simply provide them the information by replying for that message, and i did exactly what they requested, yet the thing is my reply message is marked UNOPENED, which means they havent read it yet, weird huh?

I sent them like 3 msgs and never once got a reply...one of the reasons I didn't SIR there

i sen about 10 messages from feb. to May and never once got a bloody reply

are you sure that unopened doesnt just mean that you didnt reread it in your outbox?

I sent them a message last week and got a reply within just a few days. That's unfortunate. You should appeal if you want to go there.

That's the exact thing that happened to my boyfriend. He was rejected because they accused him of not taking a prereq which he did actually take. He responded twice, but to no avail. About a week after the rejection he got a letter stating that his appeal had been accepted (even though he had never sent an appeal).

I was lucky here. I asked the email box from a representative, and used that to send out the materials they requested.

bro they did you a favor uci blows wang unless your a chang

good thing i'm a chang!

oh, and i usually received a response from the uci admissions counselor within a day or two, and we exchanged messages several times.

I would try to get keep trying to get in on some sort of reappeal, but... I have two D's and three C's and 1 B. It will all probably end up as a 2.8, but what am I going to tell them?
I am sure if I applied to a major outside engineering I would have gotten in for sure (3.8 taking every advanced class, but language arts). I had no idea History was an impacted major when I appealed for another major as well.

What are you talking about?

My original appeal... Well I at least think History is an impacted major (like business econ) so when I told them to consider me for History they probably said we already have enough qualified students in that major, along with considering me for my first major (engineering). Or if you mean what did I mean for re appeal... I just mean I would pursue, such as call admissions office or something like these other guys, but that may have been a reason they rejected my appeal as well because they saw my gpa was 3.4 for my first semester senior year.

WOW. I thought I was the only one who had this problem!
