UCI and UCLA biz econ

Hi, I am hoping to apply to UCI and UCLA as buisness econ major, but i currently attend DeAnza College and they dont have some of the pre-req's available here such as stats. for economists. Will this go against me when i apply??

Thanks!

No, I just got accepted yesterday to UCI for BizEcon (although i'm in the process of changing it to quantitative econ), and my CC does not offer that course either.

no it will not count against you because they don't articulate or it's not offer at your CC, but some people who take advantage of CC they would apply to another community college to take the course. Up to you, it's better to take it at CC since it way cheaper.

Statistics for economists is ONLY offered at UCLA--I believe assist.org says that?

But don't worry, it's Econ 41 here, you'll take it either fall or winter, no problem.

HOLLA for de anza CCC'ers.

If you REALLY want to take that calculus based statistics class, it's offered once every 2 or 3 years at De Anza. I believe there is a class for this quarter (winter 08) but since that's now closed, you'll have to wait for the next time it comes around. However, like everyone else was saying, since it's not regularly offered it doesn't count as an articulated course--UCLA and UCB expect students to take it after transferring. They'll admit you into the economics as a "Pre-economics" major and then you'll have to reapply to your major. Just make sure you do well in the class once you transfer.
