Does anybody know UCI's reputation regarding Anthropology? I am planning on double majoring in Anthropology and something else, which I have not decided yet.

Is it fairly respected getting an undergraduate degree at Irvine in Anthropology?

I am planning on continuing to graduate school, and I have my plans all set on what I want to do for my future, so please don't make any comments regarding how it is a "useless" major.

Any information is highly appreciated.

I have a cousin that is studying Anthropology at UCI.
She really likes the program and the department.

Dont let the “big classes” thing about UCI fool you. You have a discussion group with your professor with less than 25-30 students.

The great thing about UCI Anthro is that you have alot of research opportunities and the proffs bring their research to the class (gives you an idea about your future).

She said the Anthro 3 series is literally a class devoted to discussing the professors current research project. She is also minoring in behavioral psychology and really likes that department too. All she complains is that there is alot of reading and work.

Hope this helps =D

That’s a really cool article if you are interested in UCI Anthro
