UCI Appeal 2015

@JPJordan My UC unit count is at 62. I guess according to UCI’s count puts me at 58, hence the rejection. I guess UCSB and UCR counted 62. I actually decided last night to stay at IVC for another semester and transfer to CSULB in the Spring.

@dannybui9 What’s your major? I’m thinking of also doing the same, staying one more semester and try transferring to a CSU

@JPJordan I’m majoring in Psych, then PA school after that. I only need to fulfill my oral requirement for CSULB. So I just need to take one more class.

My appeal was really long, five pages to be exact. Plus I included a 15 page short story I wrote, as well as a 3 or 4 pge essay I wrote. Yeah, I know it is way too much and I shouldn’t have done that and that they probably won’t read it… I didn’t want to leave stuff out in my appeal, hence the length. I also included the short story and essay because I would major in English, and I wanted to show my strength in english and creative writing. Hope it works out…

@xyz321123 hope it works out for you. I thought my appeal was too long at 2 pages and shortened it to like a page and a half lol

Thanks, I appreciate it. I hope the same for you as well.

did anyone hear anything yet about their selection of decision appeal?

They said over the phone that it will be after the wait lists are taken care off - after June 1 into July.

But looking at previous threads that’s what the office of admissions said, but some people received their decision in May.

the admissions site does say 4-6 weeks, and we’re in the 5th week right now, so I’m anticipating a response by next week.

I have a feeling it will be a lot longer than four to six weeks, just because other people heard back much later than that.

Yes it will probably be longer because I have been waiting more than 6 weeks now, however, it may come out at the end of this month or early June, hopefully we don’t wait until July. Don’t worry you guys about your appeal getting accepted or rejected, whatever it’s it will be for your benefit! Remember it’s not about where you go, but what you do wherever you go :slight_smile:

I was admitted today on my appeal! Sir date is the 26th so maybe more people will know after that! Good luck everyone!

Congrats @vballgirl13 are you a transfer?

@boredandconfused nope.

Congrats!!! When did you submit your appeal? And do they let you know of any housing options or financial aid?

@vballgirl13

was your appeal for selection decision?

@senior15m they gave me housing options, but not financial aid yet. I postmarked it the day it was due!
@aba100 I was originally rejected. I appealed for a change in admission decision.

Thank youu! And do your housing options include the freshman dorms: Mesa and middle? @vballgirl13
