I included that I play League too! 
after hearing that they’re offering a League scholarship next year and support the eSports scene, I think it adds to the appeal. Plus it’d be great if after 4 years of playing league it’d pay off somehow. I even included my rank hahaha but my main basis for appeal were the rewards I’d won in the past few months and how I’ve improved my GPA/rigor significantly Senior year.

@QuinnAsheSona My D was admitted off the waitlist after her appeal, about a week before the SIR deadline.
I think they’re referring to people who got rejected and submitted an appeal of decision.

I’ve had the pending status since about two days after I mailed my appeal in, I’ll update on here if I hear anything back.
My son still has the pending status. It says allow 4-6 weeks to process and it’s been about 8 weeks by now. I don’t even know if he would want to go to UCI at this point, he seems to be excited about CSULB, but I don’t know for sure. Has anyone gotten in by appeal yet? I don’t mean waiting list appeals, I mean denial appeals.
There has been a lot of problems with the registrations for current UCI incoming freshmen. So there could be technical problems?

As someone who was initially declined or someone who was waitlisted?
I was declined as a freshman. I have been attending a community college to obtain my high school diploma and an AA degree. I always thought that I would apply as a transfer. However, the school wanted me to apply as a freshman since I will have received my high school diploma and AA degree at the same time. So I did not prepare to apply as a freshman well, plus I’m an international student taking SAT for the first time last December. So I sent in my appeal, hoping the school would review my case.

@lemonskin thank you! No problem, I submitted my appeal pretty close to the deadlines. I don’t really remember when that was but like 2,3 days prior.
