seriously starting to lose hope for uci :-(( all my friends have gotten their decisions already
No decision is no decision so do not lose hope.
For those who haven’t received their decision, I have a question for you. When did you guy submit your application? I submitted mine 3 hours before the deadline so is my friend and we both haven’t gotten our decision yet. As for my other friends, they submitted their application before us and got their decision.
I submitted my application around 10 pm the day it was due so Im in the same boat. Havent heard anything

I think it’s alphabetical by major. All my bio-related major friends heard back (that I know of), and all of my comp sci major friends. I think they are doing acceptances by alpha major first.
submitted mine on the 27th around 5 pm and still havent received a decision :-((
I submitted Nov. 23. I have not received a decision yet.
Submitted mine November 20th…no decision. Don’t think it’s correlated with date of submission, but more correlated with majors since many first choice data sci and poli sci applicants have not received a decision
What about when you guys created your uci portal?

I submitted mine sometime on Nov 29th…my major is Biological Sciences but I still haven’t gotten in but I know of 3 people from my school that have gotten in for that major and 2 others for different majors…I hope it’s random and not just major based, but I’m losing hope based on what people are saying…from how waitlists started Mon/Tues last year and how UCI posted on social media already and it seems like a lot of people already got in for my major and some are saying they are releasing by major? it’s all hard to tell but this whole wave thing is giving me anxiety I can’t even focus on doing my homework lol…can only pray and hope for now… T-T

I feel that. This entire weekend all I’ve been thinking about is UCI decisions and I have not been able to be productive AT ALL.
Do ya’ll think the next wave of decisions will come out tomorrow?
My daughter has exceptional stats, great essays and EC. She watched people who have never taken an AP or IB class in their lives and had a much lower GPA get accepted to UCLA and USC while she got rejected. Fair? I don’t think so but everything happens for a reason and ALWAYS for the best. It’s painful seeing my daughter along with you all go through so much stress and anxiety. You all should be proud of your accomplishments during your high school years. You ARE all going to college. Even if it’s not where you pictured yourself going, it’ll be the one place that fits best for you. You just can’t see it now but you will 
Anyone hear from Psychology or Sociology? Still haven’t gotten my decision yet. I’m starting to think its by submission date. I submitted mine on the 28th after 7pm so I can understand if that’s what they were doing
