@ThatKidsMom you can get offers for Regents from more than one UC. They don’t check with each other. It’s based on each school only.
I got this email today, “Financial Aid announcement - QLess: Save Time, Skip the Line.” Did anyone else get it too?
yes
Oh ok. I was just overanalyzing it.
hey-ill take all signs of hope
@Gumbymom so does that mean rejections could come out after march?
people got acceptances today
@stressinf: Most likely all Freshman decisions will be completed by the end of March since Transfer decisions usually start in April.
@musiciangoaler any major or random?
My D was admitted today - major in Music
Still nothing for me-applied for undeclared engineering as primary and chem alternate
@musiciangoaler do you know what major(s)?
@Gumbymom ok, thank you! just really nervous. anyone apply for nursing?
@Gumbymom I’m a student applying as a political science major and I was wondering, if my gpa is a little low (4.02 UC weighted, and 3.55 unweighted) but my Sat is 1490 (non-superscore) and all of my activities (debate, law internship, volunteer service, etc.) are geared towards my specific major and I wrote good, well-edited essays, do I have a good chance of getting in to UCI?? (Lowkey, its my dream school)
@Sri12345: You have a good chance for UCI. Best of luck
Anyone else see server maintence this morning? Portal just re-opened, but nothing different. Still haven’t received my decision.
@Gumbymom I am getting very nervous. I have a 1330 SAT, 3.98 GPA unweighted and have interned in Medical Innovation for 4 years, playing a Varsity Sport and working 10 hours/week as a Tutor. I have done a lot of Science research, presented at international conferences and applied for Biomedical Engineering. Do you think I have a chance? UCI is my dream school.
@5492708: UCI tends to be very GPA focused and a UC capped weighted GPA below a 4.0 will make any Engineering a tough admit however, you as an applicant are reviewed on your overall application so presenting at an International conference, doing Research and your other UC’s do help your chances. Each UC campus has different criteria in evaluating the applicants. All you can do is present the best application and hope for the best. Also please get rid of the “dream” school mentality. Your “dream” school is the school that want you and gives you an acceptance. Many Many great schools out there and you will succeed anywhere as long as you are willing to take advantage of all the opportunities available to you.
