GREAT essay, about my father.

I should've dropped my EC's and focused on my school work. There was a period of time where I had swim from 2-5, and then water polo from 6-9:30 everyday. It was very hard for me to even scrape that GPA.

Thanks a lot for all your insight guys!

Never mind your GPA, your SAT will get you in

I have to disagree with JBCHUN. I’ve seen many stories about candidates with both good GPAs and good SAT scores who get rejected from any number of places, including myself (admittedly, many of the schools I applied to were reaches).

You neglected to mention what grade you’re in. If you’re going to be a senior, do everything you can to get the GPA up to maybe a 3.5 if possible. Otherwise, the rest of your application looks to be in place, you also didn’t mention teacher recs.

If you have time, do/participate in/make something exceptional (unique if you can) before/as you apply. But focus on the GPA as you mentioned.
