The following is a brief summary of your application status.

We have received your Freshman application.
You are being considered for the Information & Computer Science major.
- Preferred Major: COMPUTER ENGINEERING
- Alternate Major: COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING
We will notify you of our admissions decision as soon as it has been determined.

Information & Computer Science?? I didn't apply for that!!

Yesterday it said Computer Engineering there. Have I been rejected from my first choice major or something?

But still, shouldn't it then say Computer Science & Engineering, not Information & Computer Science?

sigh I'm tired of putting up with UCI

I just checked, Information & Computer Science and Computer Science & Engineering are two completely different majors. So they've screwed something up, BADLY. I'm definitely calling them tomorrow.

lol Coolman25 and UCI you could write a book on this

Wow i'm getting such "great" ways to contact them... The phone number leads me to a bunch of recordings, I can't get through to a real person... there's no admissions e-mail address... good thing I live closeby, if this drags on any longer I'll just drive down there.

Well, at least you'll know for sure tomorrow
Good luck, COOLMAN.
I hope you get in. =)

At our school, computer engineering has been
placed in both Information and Computer and
Science (ICS) and in the School of Engineering.
It is the same program but in different school.
Thank You.

This is their response??? ICS is completely different from Computer Engineering!!! In the requirements for the ICS major, there's not a single ECE class!
