[li] Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: I put my heart and soul into the personal statement. Good luck to those who haven’t gotten their decision yet.

@usmc0311 Can you tell us your stats please? S applied Psych and has not heard. This is appearing to be like SLO’s admittance with all the admittance emails going out first while the others just wait.

3.7/4.1 UW/W
2120 SAT
700 SAT II Bio, 660 SAT II US History
One mediocre essay, one good essay
Pretty extensive ECs

Congrats to everyone who got in For those who haven’t received an email, don’t worry!! I didn’t get one either; I just checked directly on the portal when I saw my classmates post their admission statuses on Facebook.

D accepted for Physics!!
Also accepted UCSD and UC Davis. (Waiting on Cal 3/27 decision)
4.1 UC GPA, 2030 SAT
CA student with a lot of volunteering and elite level athletics
UCI asked for a supplemental, (no supplementals asked from other schools) so we were kinda nervous.

Today was the day for Davis and Irvine, tomorrow Santa Cruz is what a friend told us. We got Davis and we see some are getting Irvine, so I am thinking so. Santa Cruz releases by alphabet. But of those who got notice today there are no rejections that I see, so who knows. I couldn’t find anything on their website.

Admission statuses are supposed to be released in batches over several days. Confirmed dates were between the 17th and 24th, but it looks like they’re sending them out earlier. And yes, they initially send out acceptances to the more qualified students as it is more important.

Reflection

Strengths: Personal statements. I guess alright GPA. And alright AP scores?
Weaknesses: Low ACT and no SAT (Only taken it once), lack of EC’s, Volunteer.
Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: I think I was accepted because of how well I dealt with the stress economics of my life and making decisions that do not negatively impact me while advancing my goals and showing my appreciation for my heritage and how it affected me was something I thought they probably liked.

General Comments: Don’t worry too much Though I feel if you wrote a good p.s. then you have a good chance if you have general/slightly lower stats like me.
