My appeal is still pending
My appeal is still pending too, but if they don’t have any more room for waitlists, they definitely don’t have more room for appeals. 
Not everyone will accept the waitlist though right? Trying to be hopeful. :-<
They didn’t have to close the waitlist though. They closed the waitlist because they filled all of the open spots. If they were still waiting on applicants to accept or reject admission they wouldn’t have closed the waitlist.

Wait so if they ran out of room on the waitlist, does this mean my chances of getting in for appeal are 0 now?
Ya. I’m going to call in the morning to confirm, but I don’t think there is any hope of getting in anymore.
I just called. The lady I talked to said they are still planning on letting people in based on appeals, but they are going let us know 6 to 8 weeks after the May 1st SIR deadline. So we could still get in, but we probably won’t know until mid June. I want to go to UCI so badly, but if I’m not going to get in I just want to know already. This is so stressful.
