I believe UCI gives out acceptances AND rejections on the days they release admission decisions! I agree that UCI should give all decisions on one day however UCR still hasn’t gotten back to me ;( I emailed them and they said decisions will go out until April which is crazy. As for UCI, my friends have received their acceptances. One of them has the major of Biological Sciences (which is also my major) and I still haven’t received a decision. Some of my friends haven’t received theirs either. Therefore, UCI does NOT go by major nor by district. Don’t worry everyone! There is still hope

Has anyone applying to nursing got rejected/accepted yet? The wait is killing me and I haven’t seen that major talked about on this thread.
also, i was looking at last year’s uci thread and they released decisions on a Saturday too…so i wonder why none got released yesterday? is it because the campus is closed due to the covid-19 virus?
@meghanvl i applied for nursing but haven’t gotten a decision yet. i saw on previous pages on friday that people got waitlisted or got in for their alternate majors. on the uc irvine instagram page someone got in for UCI nursing and on tik tok someone put their letter and they got into UCI nursing program as well. so ig they’ve sent out waitlists and acceptances already

I don’t understand why Riverside is taking that long, we heard 3 weeks ago. I thought they already have made decisions a long time ago, so I don’t understand why it takes so long to release them.

@maemae08 Same here. Given that we had not received update on the portal, and that the acceptance rate of nursing is so low, my son already assumed a rejection from UCI. He is OK with it, as this is a reach school. Good luck to all perspective nursing applicants, hope you get a pleasant surprise decision from UCI soon 
No, this definitely was a spammer as the messages of congrats, etc. were random and not at all following the conversation on here. Posting congrats to folks who were discussing waiting for decisions, etc. Beware - this was also a brand new account from yesterday. The moderators watch for these folks who show up from time to time.
My daughter applied for CS as first choice major. She got acceptance but no mention of for what major. What does this mean? Her decision hinges upon if she gets the CS major since we are OOS.

From the UC Irvine Major Change Website, it looks like it is pretty easy to switch between ICS majors. So even if your daughter got a major like Data Science or Informatics she should be able to to switch into Computer Science as long as she gets a 2.7 GPA in her classes.
Thank you. The acceptance letter is very generic and doesn’t even mention the school she got into like Bren school or anything. That’s what worried us.
