Son just got rejected as well for biological sciences - OOS. I made him apply along with his dream school, UCB! It wasn’t in his top 5; I was watching more than he was. Oh well! Seems like several WL or Denials here. I did notice they discuss appeals and transfer options in the letter. He won’t appeal as he has options, but I wonder if that is standard. I also wonder if this impacts his odds at UCB. I guess we’ll know in a couple of days.
I just wanted to say that even though many of us got rejected today, I am extremely proud of everyone (even if I don’t know you). We may have gotten rejected, but that just means that there is another path in store for us. Good luck to all of you guys in whatever college you plan to attend!!

No email - we just happened to check a few minutes ago. I think it was posted to the portal around 5:30PM. Still no email.

ucb is my top too, but based on the fact that I have been waitlisted at ucd, ucsd, ucsb, and now uci, im not feeling too great. anyone know if I can get my $420 in application fees back…lol… jk, unless?

I’m kind of disappointed to be honest. I have a friend who I don’t think is more qualified as I am but got in. This pretty much means I’ve gotten rejected from all of the UC’s I applied too (Berkeley comes out on Thursday but there’s no way I’m getting in…) UCI wasn’t my top choice school but it still hurts.
Got an email notification at 5:25pm PST…checked my portal and got waitlisted. UCI has left a bad taste in my mouth for putting all of us in waiting agony without any notifications on what is happening. I’ll be declining their waitlist.
