I just got an email from UCI saying :
If you are not able to join us on campus for Discover UCI or Celebrate UCI, then plan to visit us online on Monday, April 9 at CollegeWeekLive.com for a special UC Irvine session. Video-chat live with Admissions representatives to get any questions you may have about your admissions or the UCI experience answered. Log on to College Tours & Virtual College Fairs Online | CollegeWeekLive anytime between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Pacific time).

Remember to submit your positive Statement of Intent to Register (SIR), Statement of Legal Residence, and Housing Application by the upcoming deadline of May 1 for freshmen: visit MyAdmissionsApplication@UCI by clicking the icon located on the upper left hand corner at UCI Office of Admissions & Relations with Schools.

We look forward to meeting you in person at Discover UCI and/or Celebrate UCI, or online at CollegeWeekLive!

why would they tell me "remember to submit your positive statement of intent to register" ?I didn't get any answer yet :S

Strange thing is… my daughter didn’t apply to UC Irvine and she also received the email reminder to submit her SIR. She’s been accepted to a few of the other UCs she did apply to, so it can’t be a default offer for ELC applicants. Is it a legit email from UCI?

Noor45… Obviously it doesn’t apply to my daughter. I guess I wasn’t clear, but that’s my point. For those of you who haven’t heard from UCI yet, or are wondering if anyone who has been rejected has gotten the email, for those of you trying to dissect the meaning of the email, I’m just telling you that people that didn’t even apply to UCI have gotten the email. Sorry. I hope those of you waiting for good news get it, but I don’t think the answer is in the receipt of the email.
