UCD (1905) is 60 years older than UCI (1965) and even older than UCLA (1919). UCI is the "youngest" UC ( Is UCM considered eatablished?)

UCI is also the "youngest" member of the top 50 Universities and the top 10 public Universities in the nation . It only takes around 35 years. That is quiet a achievement.

It is definitely because UCI is the newest school out of all you listed. UCD actually has a lot of funds particularly because of their school of agricultural and environmental sciences. Not every UC has this program, and UCD's foundation was particularly for the education of agriculture. It's a nationwide known school for agriculture and environmental science. UCD spends more on agricultural/environmental sciences than it does on biological sciences and engineering combined. UCD also holds the most engineering students so you can see the drastic difference. Don't worry about it though. They both offer just as much as the other for undergraduates.
