UCI Fall 2015 Transfer Thread

Maybe there’s still hope for Regents and/or Honors program! I think even early decisions are released according to major or department or something like that
Or at least I hope lol

Did you all get an email when your decision was released, or did you just check the portal?

@apocalypso‌ i received an email at 3:00 am sharp today, but i received my acceptance yesterday after 3pm

Applied: All of UCs except two (Merced and one other, I forget) Dream school: UCLA or UCB
Major: Political Science
GPA: 3.7
IGETC: Complete by Spring 2015
Work: Part time retail, nothing relevant to my major
EC: Started/President of successful community service club on campus, got awards (President’s + Club of the Year) for it, Circle K/Key Club, Health Initiative Confluence volunteer (focuses on minorities), Skid Row volunteer, volunteered at UCI Medical Center for a year
TAG: Nope

Result: Accepted today! I really don’t want to go there because it’s too local and because my sister goes there…and the school’s social environment and the city itself are not up to par with the kind of university I was looking for…but DEFINITELY THANKFUL and it’s definitely excellent as far as the quality of their academics go- it’s just everything else that is lacking. But will consider it as a top choice if not accepted to UCLA or UCB…or SD/SB. So…it takes 4/5th place in my books.

We shall see. Very happy regardless!!! It’s comforting to know, especially with the ones from SD/LA coming up soon.

Who else got in?!

Accepted with Honors and Regent’s Scholar on Friday (March 13)
Applied: UCLA, UCB, UCSD, UCSB, UCI
GPA: 4.0
IGETC: Will complete by Spring 2015
Work: I work two part-time jobs
EC: Honors Program, Speech and Debate, and a couple of other programs/clubs on campus
TAG: No

I received an email at 3:00 AM today notifying me that my status had changed, but I decided to check my MyAdmission page yesterday night and was pleasantly surprised to see that I got in!
Good luck everyone!

For those that TAG’d, did we have to put the TAG major as our primary major? I did a TAG for Business Econ, but that was a fallback if they don’t accept me for Business Economics. I put Bus Admin as my primary major and Bus Econ as my alternate major, did I mess anything up? I just don’t want to have messed that up and be denied acceptance off of a computer error, and now I’m unnecessarily freaking out.

@mjansing591‌ no I don’t think you have to because I did exactly what you did. I tagged Business Econ cause I couldn’t do Bus Admin. For primary I put Bus Admin and for alternate major I put Bus Econ. Doesn’t seem like a reason why they would deny your admission.

I did receive an email from

Has anyone been accepted yet for Biological Sciences?

Wait so, so far it’s been the honor and regents scholars that got in?? Or have they started on sending out regular admission decisions for transfers already?

@slee25‌ what is your major?

still pending

I applied for Business administration
