UCI seems to be the latest one this year
after that it was rejections
@CancelOut it was mostly acceptances, April 24 was acceptances and mostly wait lists ( me being one of them). I asked UCI admissions through FB they said by next week.
@CancelOut does your portal say “your application is under review” or we have received your application" ?
@shch7898 What do you mean by next week? Decisions being released or? so from last year’s thread if you were notified of a decision between april 18-24, it was most likely a acceptance and the 24th also being wait list day. 25-30 rejections?
It says “we received your application”. is that bad?
@cancelout yes 18-24 were acceptances and 24 mostly wait lists. After April 24 it was mostly rejections with very few acceptances. No i don’t think its bad, just checking.
and yes decisions will be released next week they said.

I just got accepted to UCLA last night. Funny, I thought UCI would come out earlier. Nevertheless, my stats:
Major: English
GPA: 3.82
EC’s: Volunteered as a journalist for my school magazine, leader and co-founder of club on campus
IGETC: Completed
Prereqs: Done by Spring 2015 semester (last semester at CC)
Personal Statement: 1) I wrote about volunteering as a journalist for my school magazine and how I expressed my passion for English through this medium. 2) I wrote about reinventing my character/work ethic/mindset at a community college and how much I matured from my aloof high school days.
Applied: UCI, UCLA, UCB
Accepted: UCLA
Waiting: UCI, UCB

@CancelOut Have you been accepted anywhere else? What’s your gpa if you don’t mind me asking.
I’m at the lower end of the GPA scale. my UC gpa is a 3.05. It’s at a 3.1 if they consider my Winter Class. I got admitted to UCR for psychology and wait listed for UCSD.
My major GPA for psych and social behavior is a 3.2 for UCI and a 3.6 for alt major criminology so I don’t know if that would help. @BumblebeeCW
How funny ^ im literally on same boat with gpa 3.2 and major. I believe my essay and ec are pretty solid. We shall see! Hoping for the news to come out soon. SOOO anxious and really want to go to UCI
