UCI Fall 2019 Transfer Thread

uci needs to stop playin I’m tired of this

mine’s literally always down lmao

@Blonded1 The only thing I know is that if you’re an h2h transfer than you have a pretty good (but not guaranteed) chance of getting regents. I’ve known people to not get regents at UCI but still get into Cal/UCLA for all you fretters out there.

Anecdotally, I read another user on here claim that the top 6% of applicants get that email invite for Davis regents – but unsure if that’s true.

Yeahhhh I don’t believe that anybody got into UCI yet it’s April Fools anyways

Maybe they will release tomorrow since they are afraid applicants will think it’s an April Fools!

Pretty photoshop was used in the screenshot lol but who knows

I’m not making an april fools joke but it’s understandable you guys would think that way. In previous years, Regents/A few TAG applicants started getting their uci decisions late march.

What are your guy’s GPA’s and Majors, just curious what my competition is ;D !

Hi guys I still dont have a notification, but when I went to the financial aid thing it has changed. I dont recall seen this before, when I clicked on my to do list, this comes out.

Use this To Do list to make sure you have completed all the steps to receive your financial aid. Print a copy of this To Do List for your records and check off those items you have completed. This does not need to be submitted to our office. Failure to complete items may result in your aid not being available to pay fees or delay your receipt of funds.

All Financial Aid Awards

You must accept your financial aid award in order for your funds to be available to pay your fees or be disbursed to you.
You must enroll in the minimum required units (MRU) - 6 units - in order to receive financial aid funds.
Prior to each fee payment deadline you must check your ZotAccount to confirm your financial aid has been credited to your account.
If you will be living in on-campus housing, you should ensure that your financial aid awards are sufficient to cover the costs associated with the type of housing you sign up for. On-campus housing rates are available online here: http://www.housing.uci.edu/rates/Rates.html. Contact Student Housing if you would like to discuss your housing options.
Direct Deposit/Check Distribution

You must tell the University how you would like to receive your financial aid funds remaining after your fees and charges are paid. You may select to have your funds deposited directly into your bank (which is the recommended method) or have a check sent to you through the U.S. postal service.
After July 1, you must log on to https://ZotAccount.uci.edu to tell us where to send your funds (if you are a new student, you will not be able to access your account until late July once registration fees have been assessed). Once you have logged on and get to “Welcome to ZOT Account Online” select “Direct Deposit (DEFT)” and complete the requested information.
Your financial aid funds cannot be disbursed until you complete this online request.

My friend currently attending UCI told me that this is what she sees on her portal when she clicks on her to do list.
is this a good sign???

Essays:

  1. General : I showcased my broad interests in both sciences and humanities by stating that my family had worked in medical fields for generations and that I sporadically worked as a performer on stage/camera.

  2. Creative side : I shared my experience on stage back in South Korea, how acting had influenced me to be a better person, and how I plan to continue honing my creative side through it.

  3. Greatest Talent : I wrote about my ability to absorb languages, how it was a sacred and fun ritual for me to convey the culture and spirituality embedded in each foreign languages, and how it would be useful prepping for intended majors.

  4. Brag about yourself : I said that I had a green thumb and that my nurturing energy applies to those around me, which will benefit and help thrive the communities and the student bodies in UC campuses.

Good luck to everyone

It really sucks that they won’t state a solid date as to when it releases. :frowning:

I honestly doubt it. I have a strong feeling they are going to drag it till the 19th or so
