…i heard early April too…
Look at comment #385
where did u guys hear early april??? whats considered early??
@zk00 You will be notified in portal and an email saying they updated your admission decision. You probably will get accepted first in the portal first before receiving an email. There is a delay from what I have read from others.
@toronto99 Thanks for the information. I appreciate it.
@jeetusSwo Did they say that in there twitter or Instagram? Wow the last two weeks of April… Probably hear back from UCLA and UCB before hearing back from UCI. Does not make any sense to me.
@Alphelia wel considering last year, and I had a friend that was a reader this year and she told me freshman were hearing back late March and we should hear back early April which i think she meant first 2 weeks.
@fleets If you go to the Instagram page and look at the picture with students at the beach it has a reply that states directly from UCI that students for general transfer will hear back from admissions between mid-late April.
I would think decisions come out sometime early april because uc berkeley and ucla decisions come out on april 19. Ucla and uc berkeley are always the last decisions to come out in the uc system
I just think it’s unfair if they come out late April. Last year they had around 2,000 more tranfer applicants than this year and they managed to get decisions out by April 6th.
Just looked at last year’s thread and see that a great number of people didn’t hear back until 4/30…and these were largely rejections…
@kristinpete well hopefully we don’t wait that long for a response! Non tag people haven’t even heard back yet…
Who knows at this point. I was hoping there would be waves. We all knew tag would be first. I just expect for there’s to be 3 waves after that, acceptance, waitlist, and rejections. But obviously they’re just random at this point.
@Gg1503 The freshmen waves mostly seemed like A/W/R.
I was expecting some non-tags to come out today… It’s hard because I really want to start planning now - declining other offers, SIRing and thinking about my housing situation…
If I don’t have a decision from UCI toward the end of April, it seems it’s probably best to SIR elsewhere.
@Gg1503 yea I was thinking the same thing. Though I feel like they are running behind this year. Honestly at this rate UCI will release around the time UCLA and UCB will which is unfortunate…
@kristinpete I hear ya i was expecting them to come out today too… I just wish it comes out already there is so much to plan…
@jeetusSwo yea I saw that happening for freshman and I think that’s what’s going to happen for us to.
@jeetusSwo That’s how it was last year - a clear wave of acceptances, a wave of just waitlists and on the last day of April, a wave of rejections. So if we aren’t in the first wave of non-tag acceptances, I think we’re safe in assuming the worst.
Its understandable since they had so many applicants. But its pressuring us to choose a school early so we can secure housing and such. Its gonna be an anxious wait. Hopefully they can release in waves so some of us can know our options.
I am already admitted but does anyone know where I would report that I am dropping a course?
