I am anxious too! I would like to start planning as well and have some options on the table to choose from. I was accepted to Syracuse last week for the Maxwell School with a major in International Relations but staying in California is my hope. The deadline for acceptance is 05/01 so I am praying I hear something sooner from UCI than the last day of the month.

@LagunaStudent12 Mr. Fernandez asked me to send a email to him through UCI transfer center ig and will follow up on Monday when he is in office. Hope we can get a response soon!!!
Anyone that’s been admitted have pai-chia hu as their counselor? I sent her a message on April 3rd and it’s still unopened… I even found her email and tried that but still haven’t gotten a response.
How do you guys find out who your admissions counselor is? Because mine would only say Admissions if I try to send something. Does that mean I’m toast?
@africangirl97 I’m sure these counselors have been inundated with messages and will take a while to get through them all.
@adreezybones I believe only the admitted students can see the names of their counselor. Mine was saying “Admissions” too when the decision was pending.
@africangirl97 Yeah, I have her/him as my counselor too. But I didn’t send a message to her yet. I will probably do that on Monday. Gotta ask something about my visa and I-20

@africangirl97 I met her a couple times at my CC and been in touch with her before turning in my application. She responds promptly and is very informative. She must be just be really busy aside from being drowned in many student emails. I’m assuming she would be my counselor too.

As I recall from my days at Cal, you get teamed with an advisor in your major’s department.
