@haasbear I know that. I know Bus Admin is not allowed TAG okay. I’m just talking about regular applicants without TAG. There’s still the rest of April. I know you want to be realistic about it but time hasn’t run out yet. I sometimes think the same thing but i know it isn’t the best thinking because technically April isn’t over yet. Yeah I know the trends of admission releases etc etc but obviously predetermining our decisions doesn’t help
And I’m only talking about bus admin folks not the other non tags for different majors
sigh… i know you are i’m just saying there is still 2 more weeks. and you should just try your best to be positive because you don’t know for sure. but sorry, I’m not trying to aggravate you or anything
honestly guys try not to stress about getting rejected, there’s no point. who knows you might end up getting surprised! especially since UCI hasn’t given out set scheduled release dates yet, we’re all just speculating here
@haasbear i’m bus admin applicant for uci. haven’t lost hope yet, and you shouldn’t either. we just don’t know yet. good luck man
@darkarchang3l No problem
Actually, your comment about the GPA thing helped us, glad you posted it.
@Gg1503 do you have the link that provides the information you just put out. I am interested. I know last year was tough all around for every transfer student and freshman
Yes, I believe I read less applicants this year as well.
So UCI just trying to hype? That sucks!
Actually I checked. All the freshmen had drops. Not sure about transfers.
@C105213 I just looked up 2018 uci transfer acceptance rate and it says they had 21,000+ applicants and accepted around 40%and then this link
https://news.uci.edu/2019/01/29/uci-is-no-1-uc-choice-for-californias-college-bound-high-school-graduates/?utm_source=homepage
says only around 19,000 applied. It’s in “By the Numbers” last paragraph.

Here are last years stats on transfers.
@Gg1503 That’s like 3k&7hundred less applicants.
@C105213 yea I know which hopefully is good news for everyone!
@Gg1503 lol I was about to tell you that but instead I deleted every word before putting it out there.
Actually, the number of transfer application had dropped since fall 2018 to fall 2019 transfers. Also, I think UCI is only stating the transfer applicants number only for cc transfer excluding other applicants for fall 2019.
Fall 2018: 94,866 freshmen and 21,326 transfer students= total 116,192 applicants
https://news.uci.edu/2017/12/14/sweet-116000-uci-again-breaks-undergraduate-applications-record/
Fall 2019: they stated cc transfer students to be 19,306= total 117,330 applicants
https://news.uci.edu/2019/01/29/uci-is-no-1-uc-choice-for-californias-college-bound-high-school-graduates/
Does anyone know the number of applicants for fall 2019 freshmen?
You right. But last year 95% of transfer acceptances were cc college students.
@Gg1503 yeah…and your link was helpful.
Actually it is a drop considering last year was 95% cc students resulting in 20,259 cc transfer for fall 2018 out of 21,326 transfer students.
So this year, actually it is 19,306 cc transfers…
H2H bus admin applicant with 3.9-ish transferrable GPA still haven’t heard back. I’m getting quite worried.
I have a good feeling about today being a small rollout again! Server maintenance occurred twice tonight, rather than just the typical 1:15 - 2:00am. We’ll all find out soon! Good luck to everyone!
