2 years ago graduating from HS UCI also put us in an agonizing wait state…a long wait. Eventually got waitlisted. 2 years later seem nothing changed much. IMHO, TBH chances are slim at this point but one never knows. This whole UC thing can be wacko.
UCI is wack ?
I TAG’d UCI for CS and haven’t heard a peep. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Edit: Should’ve read back a few pages. I’m happy it’s not just me but this is driving me insane
CS tag, GPA 3.9+, still waiting.
I received my acceptance for UCI last week, but I thought I’d submit my stats as a reference for future transfer students.
ACCEPTED
Major: Psychology B.A.
GPA: 3.45
IGETC: Completed
Prereqs: Completed
Assist: Incomplete
TAG: N/A
Applied: UCSC, UCSB, UCI, UCSD, UCLA
Pending: UCLA and UCSD
Accepted: UCSC (March 17), UCSB (April 17), UCI (April 18)
I was actually very shocked when I got accepted into UCI. I did not complete the courses listed on Assist and my GPA seems like it’s below average from what I’ve seen in this thread. I do believe that the Personal Statements may have played a factor in my acceptance. I heavily implemented the significance my major has on my life along with my development throughout my CC years. That’s my insight but nobody can be sure how these UC acceptances work.
Best of luck to the rest of you that are waiting for your replies!! I still believe there might be a chance for some of you to get accepted.
@meljg99 CONGRATS!! That’s a crazy good accomplishment because UCSB’s transfer class is made up of 94% CA community college students: http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/campuses/santa-barbara/transfer-profile/index.html
Did anyone’s financial aid portal update from early May to Mid-May again? UCI is killing me. I want to know so I can figure out where I will SIR to!
@misseskite yes, mine and another student in the fb UCI fall transfer 2019 group
Forbes just ranked UCI 1st in state for the best bang for your buck and 3rd in the nation. This is a sign from God talking to all those who are turning heads to other schools!

Geeee thanks lol…
Does anyone know if other UCs you apply to get notified about which ones you got accepted into? Someone on here or on the UCLA thread earlier said that if you get waitlisted to UCI, it’s because you got accepted into UCLA. That sounds like bs to me lol
S was accepted to UCI Bren School 2 weeks ago (TAG from CCC).

Keep your spirits high and anxiety low, folks. There is more than one great opportunity out there for each of you.
@VeeJoePerra: Last year, lot of my friends got admitted by both UCI and UCLA.
@VeeJoePerra I dont think so because there is @nanavn who got in UCI before she knew that she got into UCB too.
Nah, that’s bs lol. Some people get accepted to every UC. It doesn’t work like that.
I haven’t seen a Chem major accepted or waitlisted here
I am so worried a non tag chem major here haven’t heard back anything :(((
@sarah00 I noticed the same I’m a biochem major
@Sarah00 my lab partner got accepted to chemical engineering at UCI. No tag or H2H, 3.5 GPA. He was in the army for several years.
I did 4 years in the Navy
@jbravomed Thank you for your service! My dad did 29 years in the Navy.
