UCI Fee Waiver Question

When the fees were raised, current student's families who made less than 120,000 were supposed to have the increases waived for one year. The school stated this when they also opened the Blue and Gold plan for those who made less than 80,000. However, this did not happen to me. Did anyone else experience this?

I got my aid increased to account for the fee increases, but that's not really waiving them and I still got less than last year (kinda expected though). Anyway, is that what the school meant by waived? I mean, fees last year were 3,975 a quarter and this year it's 4,440, so if they've been waived, shouldn't it still be 3,975?

Lastly, if I do need to talk to someone about this, do I go to the Financial Aid Office or the Registrar (since that deals with fees)?

Probably the office of Financial Aid. Ask for Penny, she’ll help you out. Too many times have I gotten answers from peer-workers at the office that were wrong.
