<p>I was wondering if anyone else was having trouble getting into contact with UCI Financial Aid. The phone number on the site is always a automated message and when you ask for an advisor it says they are too busy. I've been calling literally at all times of the day but I never even get a dial tone to an advisor.
My finaid file has been complete for nearly 3 months now but I haven't been awarded yet. Deadline for fees is in a couple of days and I can't get into contact with them. (They aren't taking any emails either.)</p>
<p>Is there another number I should be calling? Anyone else have this problem?</p>
<p>It is definitely unfortunate for you guys to suffer through this. An alternative I suggest is if you are in reasonable driving distance to UCI, visit their office.</p>
<p>Another suggestion is keep calling. Have you tried early in the morning when they first open?</p>
<p>So I went into the office today… and there was one person answering the phones and 2 helping people that were walk-ins. The person answering the phone would take about 5 minute breaks or so every call. I’d just walk in and wait in the line for about 20 minutes and handle your business.</p>
<p>Welcome to the understaffed world of the UCs. Unfortunately, this is a wake up call for how aggressive you will need to be to get anything done at a UC now.</p>
