<p>No idea. Last year they got almost everything paid for with regents scholar students fitting the remaining bill of $0.50, no joke. Did you get regents and/ or a financial aid award?</p>

<p>Under “My UCI Costs” it says
Direct Costs (Fees and Health Insurance) $12,902.00</p>

<p>Does this mean I got Blue & Gold? What exactly are these fees??</p>

<p>That’s the cost of attending the school. If you got awarded blue and gold is should say you received a Cal Grant for the same amount as the fees.</p>

<p>But that’s weird because I know for sure I qualify for Blue & Gold.</p>

<p>Post your award letter that’ll help explain it. I haven’t gotten into UCI but for UCSB mine says “Congratulations! You’ve been awarded blue and gold”</p>

<p>Then it says I got a cal grant for the tuition price and a university scholarship, pell grant, work study, and loans to cover the rest.</p>

<p>All you guys got so much for gift grant. Is everyone like over 23 or low income? I’m getting $5500 but my mom makes over 100k a year alone.</p>

<p>Heather… I got blue and gold, 7k in gift grant, 2k in work study, and 7k in loans… I’m an independent student(but not 24)</p>

<p>On my FAFSA report it said I qualified for 5.5k in Pell Grants and 7.5k in Loans</p>

<p>What is the UCI grant? Is that extra money or Blue and gold included?</p>

<p>My EFC is $0 And my total aid is $27,640. $7400 is loans and $1500 is work study. The rest is aid.
And yeah Heather, I am 24 and low income.</p>

<p>UGH. Im getting $0 in gift aid from UCI and UC San Diego. The only suggestion they give me is loans. So are they seriously not gonna give me ANY financial aid at all? what do i have to do to get at least a little bit of financial aid? any suggestions??? It’s not like my parents are millionaires, not even close…</p>

<p>@harophilip CSUN gave me $0 in gift aid, it sucks. If it wasn’t for Blue & Gold I’d be screwed. Did you apply for any scholarships?</p>

<p>I don’t understand how people get blue and gold and dont get pell grants ect. I thought I knew the fin aid process well but I guess I don’t. </p>

<p>Does anyone know the cut off for getting a pell grant?</p>
