Hi, I was admitted into the UCI Honors Program on Valentine’s Day. I’m really excited to receive it early and all, but I was wondering how UC Irvine exactly selects people for this program.

Only THREE people at my school including me got the Honors Program (Rank 3, 6, 10 respectively). So I was wondering how the process of UCI’s Honor’s Program/Regents works on selecting students?

More importantly though, I wanted to know my chances for UCLA and Berkeley if I got into the Honors Program at UCI. Is it higher/lower/the same?! My dream UC is Los Angeles.

Thank you =’)

Yeah… I read that the UC shares scores? Does that mean UCI and UCLA share there holistic scores since UCI models after UCLA’s holistic selection? And is holistic scores used for determining UCI’s Honors Program or is it more of a faculty thing as the University described in the letter.

According to UCI CHP, students are selected by the “faculty in the UCI school of the student’s major.” Source: [Prospective Students](http://www.honors.uci.edu/prospective.php).

Berkeley and UCLA share their application scores with other UCs, but they do not use scores from other UCs.
