UCI housing question

So I just received an email saying that this is UCI's largest freshmen class and asking me to fill out a survey. Basically they seem desperate to find students that are willing to relocate to arroyo vista or one of the other communities.
Now my question is, how different is living in arroyo vista from living in Mesa court/middle earth?
Will I get the same dorm life experience or will I be missing out??

i was wondering that too…its cheaper to live in campus village so i want to stay there i also like the whole kitchen thing

Here’s a handy comparison chart that came in the email.
[UC Irvine Student Housing - Prospective Student - for Freshman - Comparison Chart](http://www.housing.uci.edu/prospective/ComparisonChart.asp)

My question is, if I want to remain in Middle Earth/Mesa Court, would it be better to fill out the survey or not? They said " Please note that students who do not complete the survey are still subject to placement in an on-campus community outside of the residence halls."

You should still fill out the survey because in the survey it asks you to rank the places you want to stay. Since you want to stay in the Residence Halls, just rank Residence Halls as choice number one.
