I'm a transfer student looking into UCI Housing. What does everyone recommend?
Are residence halls only for freshmen? If so, which is better -- Arroyo or Campus Village?

i have the smae question.

I applied to both. I can’t decide if I would rather have a few roommates (Campus village) or a bunch (a.vista). I took the tour and I think arroyo is “nicer” just because it’s newer. It also has themed houses like one geared towards transfers, one for extracurriculars , one for arts and entertainment, etc. The places in campus village are older and are just standard small apartments. I think it really comes down to how many people you want to share a house with.

are you able to apply for housing without SIR-ing for that school just to keep your spot? I heard you can do that for UCSD

i think im gonna go with campus village.

i really dont wanna share a bathroom with 20 people.

oh, btw just to update on my question – you have to turn in your SIR, $100, Housing $20 in order to apply for housing.
