I have been a lurker for some time now getting a feel for the way things work around here and I have finally decided to join in on the CT admissions insanity. Like many of you, I refresh my browser several times a minute.

I am applying to UCI as a Criminology major.

My statistics are far from perfect. I am a transfer student with a 3.15 UC transferable GPA. Not TAG certified. I do have confidence in my essay. My pre-requisites are complete. I will be IGETC certified prior to transfer. I don't know if that's good enough to get me in, but it's the only UC with my major. If I don't make it in I can only blame myself for not working as hard as most of you have, but I'm hoping.

Nice to meet you all and best of luck. Any other UCI Criminology majors?

there’s a uci thread where you can post to get more info

I was accepted to UCI a week and a half ago…I was very shocked and excited and literally burst into tears when I found out…but thats besides the point…Just wanted to let you know Im a psych major and my GPA is about 3.3ishh, which is on the low end for psych majors. I would say, dont give up and keep on believing. haha cheesy I know but I really didnt think I would get in. I ALSO am not igetc certified and do not have TAG…not to mention that I have not completed my 60 units required…so I will be taking some courses at UCI this summer to finish them. GOOD LUCK…and dont worry too much :]

Kirstie congratulations on your admission. Looks like we might see each other there since I just got admitted tonight!

I am beyond words right now.

OMG I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL. I REALLY DO! I cried all morning(lol) and didnt even go to my classes. haha congratulations and perhaps we will see eachother around! told you not to give up! :] yayyy fellow UCI admit :]

if uci doesnt send me some decision by next week… im going to start not liking them…

congrats on your acceptance

Thanks MakeBank!

Peppamintt - I know how it is. Just keep thinking positive and be patient. You’ll be okay.

Kirstie <- UCI e-buddy! Thanks for not letting me give up. I was running out of steam but you were right, the patience did pay off.
