I'm in a dilemma on which college to choose. Please give me some points on them! And also, what is the score you have to attain on AP tests to transfer the credits to either of these schools? Thanks.

You have to past the AP Test with a 3 or higher to transfer credits. Also, what exactly is your dilemma? What major are you deciding on?
Elaborate a little please.

For UCI, I was accepted for international relations and for UCSB, I was accepted into history. I just want to know about programs that the schools offer and the environment and opportunities :)

Well for the environment, UCI is located in the city(town, city same thing!), while UCSB is located, well, not literally ON the beach, but it is like 49 seconds away. Some dorms have a nice view of the ocean!
Also speaking of dorms, both housing at UCI and UCSB are nice. IDK if you are living on campus , but you wont be tooo disappointed with housing. (I am going to San Diego State. So yes, I am disappointed in housing there.)
In my opinion, UCI and UCSB are equal in academics. SOCIAL life wise, well I’m sure you have heard that UCSB has a pretty amazing social atmosphere (Isla Vista is right next to the school) not to say that UCI doesnt have a nice social atmosphere,(it does) it’s just that UCSB has a better one (Plus it IS considered a “party school”.)
What programs and clubs are you interested in? (Im in my TA class bored ,so I can help you search lol.) B-)

thank you!

You are welcome did any of this influence your decision :-/

yes haha (:

Both are very good schools. I’d be surprised if UCSB didn’t have a similar list of study abroad opportunities.

Here is UCSB’s history study abroad section, plus you should know you can use any UC study abroad program and the credits transfer to any other UC. In fact, as you can see below, both UCI and UCSB use EAP for study abroad so the program selection would be identical :

and to @defying UCSB is on the beach – or a beach is on the campus. Classes are occasionally even held there, as appropriate to the area of study. The surf area near there is ‘Campus Point’.

You might want to check out the UCSB and UCI school forums on here as well.

Have you visited both schools? Do it! Both good schools, but very different from each other. It’s essential that you go to admitted students days or at least visit in person.

I’ve been to both schools recently hahaha but I’m so indecisive, I just don’t know what to choose…

what is the ap score that either of the schools accept as credit. do they accept 3’s?

Yes, they accept 3s.
