UCLA all the way!

Depends on your future plans.

If you plan on going to professional (med, law, business) grad school, then UCI. However, if you plan on ending your education at the undergrad level and getting a job, or pursuing a grad degree in a non-professional course of study, then UCLA.

EDIT: I should add this depends also on how bad you need the aid. Because you qualified for the Regents Scholarship, I assumed you have a low EFC, but if paying full tuition is no biggie, then UCLA for sure.

Would depend on my financial status and how much I do or dont need that 9 grand. If I didnt need it, then LA, and if I did then Irvine.

UCLA. 2 words - More life.

Definantly take UCLA. 9k isn't that much money.

Supa_Ramga: How come UCI's more recommendable for professional grad school?

They were inferring that your gpa will likely be higher at UCI and as a result help you get accepted to grad school where they put a lot of emphasis on your gpa.

If you're going to grad school, just get really good grades at UCI and try to get into UCLA or better for grad school.

If not, then go to UCLA.

BTW, what's your major?

One's undergraduate alma matter is virtually meaningless when applying to professional grad schools. They mostly care about two factors, your GPA, and your test score (LSAT, GMAT, MCAT). Therefore, if paying for college is a major issue, it doesn't make sense to attend UCLA when UCI is cheaper.

Additionally, one could argue that getting an A at UCI is easier than at UCLA (though I believe this is more of a generalization than a fact). Therefore your GPA would be higher at UCI, and thus, your chances of getting admitted to an elite grad school goes up.

It's important to note, a 4.0 from UCI is worth more than a 3.8 at UCLA when it comes to applying to HLS.
