<p>hi i am an admitted bio major at UCI and UCSB and i dont know which one has a stronger and more reputable progam. (i want to go to med school after)
also i am indian (asian) and went to sb and sadly didnt see a lot of them. i know uci has a bunch but then again i dont want to be surrounded by them. </p>

<p>The reputation of a school really doesn’t matter to med schools. UCI has a lot more Asians than UCSB. Visit both campuses and decide which one you find more aesthetically appealing, then secondary to that should be percentage of Asians and what kind of party scene you’re looking for.</p>
<p>I noticed the same thing about UCBS vs. UCI. Hardley no Asians in SB. Why is that? Is there underlying discrimination amongs students? I’m sure that the school does not discriminate. I’m talking about social scene among students. BTW I’m Asian accepted to SB.</p>
<p>what you mean hardly no asians…? There is a good amount, roughly 20% or so. i wouldn’t say 1/5 as hardly…</p>
<p>blastie is correct. Almost 1/5 of the population here at UCSB is Asian. That’s much, much more than my previous community. </p>
<p>I’d discourage picking a school based on racial demographics anyway.</p>

i am leaning more towards ucsb because the campus is amazing! and isla vista is where its at i really wanted to go to davis though but i didnt get in :(</p>
