UCI or UCSD ?

I recently got admitted to sixth college at UCSD and UCI, and am currently debating which I should attend for Fall 2013.

To be completely honest, I didn't even expect to get accepted to the UC's and was planning to go to community college and transfer afterwards in order to save money. However, after getting the admission letters it was just really difficult to say 'no' to the opportunities. (esp. with my mom jumping up and down telling me how proud she is since I'd be the first in my family to attend a university)

However, I'm not really sure what I want to do with my life..
atm. I'm leaning towards somewhere in Film and Media, animator, film editor, analyst, screenwriter, anywhere there. But then there's also Forensics and engineering (which everyone is trying to get me to do with my math classes/grades) but IDK.

Anyways, my choices right now are UCI or UCSD.
I thought UCSD for sure, but after hearing the things about Sixth College being the "worst" out of the six, it makes me a little less sure.

I know nothing about UCI.

What do you guys think?

Personally I want to go to UCI, it is my top choice. One of the main reasons is that it has Areospace Engineering and it is close to a relativlly small airport. I am in the prosses of learning how to fly personal aircraft. Another reason is that it has a nice location and is close to the beach.

I don’t know anything about the Film/Media program at either school, but assuming that both are acceptable I’d choose UCSD over UCI. Both are highly-ranked state schools, but UCSD’s ranking is higher. Both are in nice neighborhoods, but UCSD’s is nicer. Both are close to the beach, but UCSD is closer. You could actually walk to the beach from UCSD, which is not something you would do at Irvine.

Neither school is much of a big party school. And don’t worry about Sixth College. Once you graduate the only thing anyone will ask or hear about is UCSD. No one will know or care at which college you lived in while at UCSD.

I co-sign everything coureur said.
