UCI or USC Biology?

Hello everyone, I’ve been admitted to UCI and USC for the class of 2022 but I can’t decide where to go!!! Ok, this is the problem that’s holding me back… (if this seems to long to read skip to 3rd paragraph)

I was admitted to UCI for biological sci and USC for human bio. I am a pre-med student so grades matter A LOT to me and so is how long it will take me to grad. I’m trying to grad in 3 years (and I know that sounds crazy but hear me out)…I have enough credits from AP and CCC to go into UCI as a sophomore, but not in USC. So far, the obvious answer is UCI but while looking at its bio sci curriculum for 3/4 year graduation tracks, I realized both links send me to the same sample curriculum. Basically its 3 years of sci etc, but the fourth year is bio elective and something called BIO SCI 199. Frankly, I don’t want to do Bio SCI 199 cuz I only see it in the fourth year and I’m trying to graduate in 3.

IS BIO SCI 199 at UCI required to graduate undergrad bio? Since it is an indep research class, is there other research classes that are required (the type that you must research something and write a 10+ page essay on)? What about at USC? Is research with a written paper a requirement to graduate from either school?

That is the biggest reason I’m holding back on UCI. If I’m going to be in undergrad four years no matter what, then I’d rather go to USC. Sorry if this questions seems dumb to any alumni out there, but I cant seem to find the answer to this anywhere online.
