My freshman year I attended Chapman University which is a private University in which I recieved a 3.56 gpa overall. I had to leave due to family circumstances and now for my sophomore year will attend Orange coast college which is a community college. If I apply this November with UCI am I going to get priority admission being a community college student?

I was told by UCI rep if you went to a 4 year and CCC, you won't get priority. But unless its a popular major you shouldn't have trouble transferring.

Well, you will be given more priority now that you are a community college student. If UCI is your goal then speak with an admissions/counseling representative to setup a TAG agreement.

^ I was advised by my advisor at my cc that I can take up to 1 or 2 quarters at a 4-year and go back to attending a cc and being considered a "cc student," which still validates my priority over other 4-yr transfers.

I'm not sure, though, about the OP's situation in which he/she attended Chapman for a year.

To the OP: the best thing would just to talk to an advisor at your cc.
